A stable water supply is essential for the Benz MaxFlow pump, similar to pressure washers. The buffer tank stores water from the site’s supply and feeds it to the pump. An unloader valve on the pump recirculates any unused water back into the tank, ensuring efficient operation.
While a buffer tank is recommended for the Clarke booster pump, it is not strictly required.
We offer a ready-to-use, 30L plug-and-play buffer tank that is compatible with both pumps. Alternatively, we can provide fittings for converting a wheelie bin or barrel into a buffer tank. This option is sometimes preferred, as the same container can be used for pressure washing applications, and existing pressure washing tanks may already be compatible.
A buffer tank is crucial when water pressure and flow are low. It helps stabilise pressure, maintain a steady water supply, and reduces pump cycling, acting as a buffer between the water source and the pump.
