Watch Ben demonstrate the treatment of stainless steel to remove rust stains – caused by the stainless steel being contaminated with carbon steel.
Quick tip 1: It may seem strange to have to treat "stainless" steel for rust. This is because some stainless steel can be contaminated by carbon/mild steel. In the case of the stainless steel in the video it is probably 304, which by the sea is not a great idea. The manufacturer would have done better to use 316 or A4 grade stainless.
Quick tip 2: To find out how long rusted metal treated with Oxy Cleanze would remain free from rust following a treatment, we treated some rusty cast-iron downpipes and left them unpainted and exposed to the elements.
They remained clear of rust even several months later. (normally we would have painted them with a rust-protection paint, such as smooth Hammerite, following a treatment with Oxy Cleanze)
Quick tip 3: When using Oxy Cleanze always protect the surrounding surfaces and wear suitable PPE.

It's a free resource for people wanting to learn about the soft washing industry, to expand an existing business, or build a new business.
Soft washing reduces, or even eliminates, the need to use high-pressure washing.
Instead, once the build up of algae, lichen, fungus and mould – the root causes of properties looking "dirty" – has been treated, the natural "self-cleansing" of sun, rain and wind removes the surface residue through time.
By educating the cleaning trade and public about soft washing we are helping develop an industry that offers sustainable treatments to clean and maintain exterior hard surfaces.
